Sir Alex Ferguson is Arsene Wenger's secret football manager idol

Erm...is Arsene Wenger a case of a tragic failure while trying to emulate his secret football manager idol, the infamous Sir Alex Ferguson? We all know what happened when SAF let Hughes, Ince and Kanchelskis go during the 95-96 season without signing anyone new. But we all know Arsene is a secret admirer of SAF..Letting Gilberto, Hleb and Flamini go, and drafting the young guns into the youth team, I bet he must be thinking he can do a Ferguson this season! Well, as Alan Hansen famously declared, "you'll never win anything with kids", I think Alan Hansen made those comments 13 years too early. He should have waited and saved those words for Wenger...you know, it would have saved him from embarrassment and possibly even enhance his status as a football pundit...Anyway, I know Wenger will come good in the end...after all, he's trying to follow after the very best in the game!
